摘要: Air pollution generated by vegetation fire smoke (VFS) is a phenomenon that has influenced the global environment in prehistoric and historic time scales. Although evidence of impacts VFS on societies scarce, there are indications been factor society significantly since Middle Ages. In recent decades, increasing application as tool for land-use change resulted more frequent occurrence extended episodes with consequences human health security. Some these events have associated droughts attributed to inter-annual climate variability or possible regional change. metropolitan industrial areas, may be coupled emission burden from fossil fuel burning other technogenic sources, resulting adverse affects population. We review character, magnitude, role pyrogenic gaseous particle emissions composition functioning atmosphere, health, Special emphasis given radioactive fires peatlands terrain contaminated radionuclides. The transboundary effects driving argument developing international policies address underlying causes avoiding excessive application, establish sound management practices protocols cooperation wildland at an level.
