摘要: Background The effectiveness acamprosate (calcium bisacetylhomotaurinate) as a treatment to maintain abstinence in alcohol-dependent patients was assessed for 1 year. Methods: After short-term detoxification, 272 participated randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study. Patients received routine counseling and either the study medication or placebo 48 weeks; they were followed up another weeks without medication. Statistical analysis performed according intention-to-treat principle. Results: who receiving showed significantly higher continuous rate within first 60 days of compared with assigned (67% vs 50%) until completion period (43% 21%, log rankP=.005), had longer mean duration 224 163 days, 62% 45% abstinent (P Conclusion: Acamprosate proved be safe effective aid treating maintaining during 2 years.
