摘要: Phenolic foam exhibits outstanding flame, smoke and toxicity properties, good insulation properties low production costs. However, the brittleness pulverization of phenolic have severely limited its application in many fields. In this study, a novel phosphorus-containing polyurethane prepolymer (DOPU) modifier was firstly synthesized, then foaming formula processing toughening modified with DOPU glass fiber were explored. The structure reactive behavior resin investigated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. effects on apparent density, compressive strength, bending strength water absorption investigated. results suggested that tended to increase irregularly increasing content DOPU. addition led lower fiber-filled foam. Thermal stability flame retardancy examined thermogravimetric analysis limiting oxygen index (LOI) tests. It found 3% 0.5% added exhibited thermal high char yields. LOI value foams decreased content, but it still remained at 41.0% even if amount loaded 10 wt%. © 2012 Society Chemical Industry
