摘要: A wave plate (10) formed of a perforated metallic particular thickness (L) has circular holes (12) that induce change in the polarization an electromagnetic passing through plate. By choosing proper hole diameter, spacing orthogonal directions, and thickness, desired relative phase shift is achieved with maximum transmission minimal reflection. Two or more axially-aligned plates form variable system. changing rotational positions plates, system can be selectively varied.
