摘要: The distinction between a context of discovery and one justification with regard to scientific activities (hereafter: DJ distinction) has developed remarkable life its own in 20th century philosophy science beyond, eventually becoming an influential conceptual device. Hans Reichenbach’s exposition provided the major starting point for broad discussion, within which several versions emerged.1 One can safely state that no such thing as single proper exists. Rather, it implies richness different perspectives on relation historical philosophical approaches science. Drawing discussion about foundation “ecosystems” history ecology, this paper addresses two themes connectedwith distinction. first is historicized descriptive epistemologically normative methodological perspectives. This version maps out “disciplinary” separation:On hand, usually outlined neutral epistemological questions. On other singled enterprise. second theme sequential interpretation distinction—the “temporal distinction”. According distinction, are consecutive mainly separate processes development text initial debates ecosystems located roughly same period. In section 2, my will hence start from original outline his 1938 book Experience prediction both reasons. It addresses, among others, question normativity process I shall argue despite explicit agenda separation, peculiar hybridization epistemology results rest devoted ecology case study. exemplifies mentioned above. Section 3 discusses model generating new epistemic objects ecology. investigation emergence “ecosystem”—and related theoretical novelties—shows how ecological sort were some sense “justified” then “discovered”, is, empirically substantiated. 4 provides comparative overview narratives
