摘要: Abstract The radiation-sensitive strains Escherichia coli B s−1 and are both unable to repair UV X-ray damage in their DNA; addition the strain is also certain UV-irradiated bacteriophages. In this respect latter resembles Hcr − mutants of E. K12 strains, which sensitive, but, contrast , resistant. By means transduction analysis with phage P1kc it shown that fact a double mutant, carrying an -like mutation, located on chromosome near gal locus, second mutation met 3 denoted exr responsible for sensitivity. Both mutations influence sensitivity strain. s−2 mutant contains only, accounts
