摘要: Multimodal integration of nonverbal social signals is essential for successful interaction. Previous studies have implicated the posterior superior temporal sulcus (pSTS) in perception such as emotional well cognitive functions like mentalizing/theory mind. In present study, we evaluated relationships between trait intelligence (EI) and fMRI activation patterns individual subjects during multimodal from voice face. Trait EI was linked to hemodynamic responses right pSTS, an area which also exhibits a distinct sensitivity human voices faces. Within all other regions known subserve perceptual audiovisual (i.e., amygdala, fusiform gyrus, thalamus), no were observed. This functional difference network indicates specific contribution pSTS possible interface information cognition.
