Preliminary experimental study of post-combustion carbon capture integrated with solar thermal collectors

摘要: The amine-based chemical absorption for CO2 capture normally needs to extract steam from the turbine cycle solvent regeneration. Integrating solar thermal energy enables reduction of extraction and therefore, can reduce penalty caused by capture. In this paper, a pilot system assisted was built investigate performance. Two types collectors, parabolic trough linear Fresnel reflector, were tested. It found that values operation parameters meet requirements designed setting parameters, collectors provide required reboiler, while its contribution mainly determined irradiation. regeneration investigated varying heat input. results show response time reboiler duty is longer than those temperature desorber pressure. This work provides better understanding about overall control system.
