Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging modality choice for evaluating anatomy pathologic conditions hypothalamus. MR differential diagnosis depends on accurate anatomic localization tissue characterization hypothalamic through recognition their signal intensity contrast material enhancement patterns. Diffusion-weighted proton spectroscopy can helpful in differentiating among various types lesions.
