摘要: Abstract This article presents the results of a numerical study on response cladding sandwich panels with tubular cores that can be used as blast mitigators. The core consisted empty thin-walled aluminum circular tubes (38 mm in diameter) riveted laterally between skin plates different configurations (varying number and spacing tube). “rigid” DOMEX700 steel front plate which was exposed to load back made mild steel. uniform achieved by detonating varying charge masses explosive (ranging from 6 g 50 g) at stand-off distance 200 mm down square tube. model, developed ANSYS AutoDYN 15.0, validated for average deflection crush mode using experimental were presented previous paper [1] . simulations provided insights into transient panels. effects also influenced interaction investigated. plastic hinges formed increased whilst rotation angle decreased increasing cores.
