摘要: The Drosophila wing imaginal disc gives rise to three body parts along the proximo-distal (P-D) axis: blade, hinge and mesonotum. Development of blade initiates part dorsal/ventral (D/V) compartment boundary requires input from both Notch wingless (wg) signal transduction pathways. In wg activates gene vestigial (vg), which is required for grow. also development, but does not activate vg in hinge, raising question what target genes are activated by generate structures. Here we show that homothorax (hth) hth necessary development. Further, demonstrate limits where D/V development can initiate, thus helping define size position within epithelium. We teashirt (tsh), coexpressed with throughout most collaborates repress block Our results suggest tsh repressing some activities pathway at boundary.
