Assessing e-books: Taking a closer look at e-book statistics

摘要: In 2008 the University of Idaho Library conducted an in-depth analysis our three major electronic book providers. Using spreadsheet and database applications, bibliographic data from ILS was combined with usage statistics obtained each platform. This technique produced a master sheet that allowed us to do subject by LC classification, discover e-books were not cataloged in OPAC, identify supplied more than one provider. The show relatively low use across both areas platforms. discussion includes subscription costs recommendations for reporting e-book statistics.
