摘要: Abstract : In an effort to identify individual characteristics that could be associated with superior job performance, 28 male volunteer instructors at the U. S. Navy's Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) School, NAS Brunswick, Maine were ranked on performance by senior supervisors. On basis of this ranking, each instructor was assigned into one three groups: superior(SP), high(HP), performing(P). Demographic psychological assessments groups conducted using questionnaires standardized tests personality mental ability. Significant demographic factors level included age, rank, years active duty; important variables achievement, depression, dominance. All yielded mean assessment scores indicating bright, well-adjusted members little psychopathology. Recommendations for selection criteria SERE are discussed. (Author)
