摘要: Abstract Genetic modification of microalgae has been performing to overcome the economic and technical difficulties associated with biodiesel production. In this study, explore a new approach exploiting metabolic pathway for effective lipid production, we engineered Chlamydomonas reinhardtii PTS42 overexpress malic enzyme isoform 2 (ME2) which catalyzes conversion malate pyruvate. Overexpression ME2 resulted in increase mRNA level (around 2–3 fold) pyruvate content (42.4% 44.8% respectively) transgenic M16 M17, respectively. The fatty acid M17 were increased by 23.4 19.9% respectively compared parental lines under nitrogen deprivation condition. However, no significant changes acids composition was observed lines. These results demonstrate that overexpression enhances availability biosynthesis production C. reinhardtii.
