摘要: The expression of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) in the olfactory bulb was compared between two mouse strains, CD-1 and BALB/c, that differ connectivity within their glomeruli, content tyrosine hydroxylase, response to deafferentation. Labelled cells were qualitatively quantitatively analyzed by both immunohistochemistry for NOS histochemistry nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH)-diaphorase (ND). Both periglomerular short-axon observed with techniques employed, colocalization same neurons demonstrated ND is a reliable marker NOS-expressing (OB). histochemical technique differentiates types glomeruli: ND-positive ND-negative. Olfactory glomeruli strain about 7% larger than those BALB/c animals. While density NOS/ND-containing similar strains studied, more NOS/ND-labelled (P = 0.002). Since do not receive direct receptors synapses, present results indicate such inputs regulate activity cells. different densities NOS/ND-expressing may implicated differential modulation odor chemically distinct bulb.
