摘要: Heterosexual transmission of HIV is resulting in a dramatic increase the number women infected worldwide. By year 2000 World Health Organization estimates that nearly 90% all new infections will be transmitted heterosexually, with 50% occurring (Chin, 1990). The WHO also predicts over 10 million children worldwide by 1991). Although great majority these born Africa, India, SE Asia and South America, numbers North America Europe are steadily increasing. 1993, 4000 under 13 years age had been reported AIDS USA. now among top five causes childhood death some American states. Over 3000 have Europe. to perinatally from their mother (vertical transmission). Among USA 1992, acquired infection vertically.
