摘要: Intracellular recordings were performed in cat anterior thalamic nuclei (anterior ventral, medial and dorsal) which, according to a recent anatomical study, do not receive afferents from the reticularis thalami nucleus. Neurons of did display spontaneous membrane potential oscillations spindle type such could neither be evoked these cells by cortical stimulation. The absence spindling activity was observed despite that displayed intrinsic properties similar those thalamocortical other nuclei. Electrographic areas connected also free activity. Taken together with evidence relay neurons deprived their input sections or kainic acid lesions lose activity, our results point essential role complex genesis waves.
