摘要: The anomalous physical properties of dysprosium iron garnet Dy3Fe5O12 or DyIG single crystals have been revisited at low temperatures. This paper presents results experimental investigation based on specific heat, magnetization, and Faraday rotation measurements. distinguishing features are the occurrence two types anomalies in temperature dependences some judicious quantities. first one coincides with previous first-order spin reorientation transition TSR = 15 K where sublattice magnetization vector MFe changes from axis high toward angular phases below TSR. second takes place around “low-temperature Belov point” TB = 42 K, confirming what had already predicted previously about paraprocess effect this ferrimagnet. compared findings discussed taking into account coexistence concomitant phenomena such magnetodielectric Schottky effects which cause anomalies, respectively near TSR TB.
