This appeal is predominantly due ever-increasing evidence interaction microbiota pathophysiological processes disease within human host. narrative review considers current landscape industry its research, discusses pitfalls lack translation from laboratory science clinical application. Future considerations into how academia must adapt research maximize success are suggested, including more targeted strains dependent on individual capabilities well multiple advanced analytical technologies further understand accelerate microbiome science.
