摘要: Methionine sulfoximine inhibits the growth of Salmonella typhimurium at a concentration 50 μM, and addition glutamine, but not glutamate, is sufficient to overcome this inhibition. The analogue causes 50% inhibition glutamine synthetase activity 2 4 μM glutamate synthase 3 mM when these enzymes are assayed in vitro. No dehydrogenase observed concentrations as high mM. Two mutants selected for their resistance methionine have partial requirement reduction activities. sensitivity remaining appears unaltered, lesions conferring may affect directly.
