摘要: Concept mapping is a participatory mixed methodology that enables diverse participant groups to develop shared conceptual frameworks can be used in variety of policy contexts identify or encourage complexity, and the adaptive emergent properties associated with it. The method consistent an evolving paradigm complex systems thinking helps address complexity several ways: it inductive, allowing meaning emerge; based on simple set rules (operations) generate patterns results; engages agents throughout process through range participation channels (synchronous asynchronous web, face-to-face, etc.); visual products concept maps, pattern matches, action plots provide high-level representations thinking; results are generative, encouraging organizational learning while preserving individuality diversity; maps themselves framework autonomous align broader vision. involves free listing, unstructured sorting rating ideas, sequence statistical analyses (multidimensional scaling, hierarchical cluster analysis) produce other participants then interpret. An example provided web-based project mapped practical challenges need addressed support effective modeling public health work. It suggested using especially combination types human simulation provides valuable addition our methodological tools for studying systems.
