摘要: The nature of the activable form renin in kidney and other tissues has not been clear. Its identification isolation from have hampered by rapid activation due to high levels proteases. Using a pepstatin-Sepharose column, which distinguishes inactive active enzyme, evidence was obtained for presence totally zymogenic precursor pituitary, pineal, regions hog brain. an approximate molecular weight 50,000 conversion enzyme causes reduction 43,000. Conversion this but (60,000) also observed when pituitary extract treated with thiol-blocking reagents. This result interpreted indicate binding protein. study demonstrated that zymogen is different so-called big renin, complex
