摘要: Abstract The true potential of a CIM system cannot as yet be fully realised. A further requirement is for device which can extract manufacturing information from the outset. main aim research described in this paper to develop knowledge-base extracting such and promote coming together design manufacture. major goal must enable industry manufacture without manual intervention. prototype called HOLDEX an implementation that relies on combining advantages existing technology AI, CAD representation schemes, advanced systems, man-machine interface most importantly encapsulated knowledge engineer. encourage workpiece designer towards standards assist him use general purpose package. One benefit obtained providing assistance facilitate ease information. scope extracted includes detailed specification set cutting tools, recognition list required activities prior machining operation, recommendation appropriate machine tool automated fixtures.
