摘要: Abstract New measurements of dissolved vanadium in a variety rivers and estuaries are presented here. The data indicate that the average concentration major entering ocean is ∼ 15 nmol/kg. Weathering rate type source rock, rather than solution chemistry or anthropogenic influences, appear to be important factors determining fluvial concentrations. Laboratory experiments suggest oxic waters found predominantly its most oxidized, anionic form (V(V)). Complexation with organic matter formation large colloidal species unimportant. Adsorption also appears less influence for some other trace elements such as zinc. In estuaries, behaves bioactive element, showing close correspondence distribution phosphate. extent estuarine removal presently uncertain but may low due rapid remineralization this element. Based on river flux, oceanic residence time estimated 100,000 years.
