摘要: The current chapter summarizes 276 references to offer an up-to-date survey of literature on the mass spectrometry and gas-phase ion chemistry phenolate- or phenol-containing metal complexes their chalcogenide thio- seleno-analogs. Analytical applications MS techniques characterization these metal–ligand systems are discussed. latter include more than 400 species such as mixed-ligand complexes, bifunctional compounds containing organometallic classical Werner-type coordination sites, nanoclusters, with metal–metal bonds, mixed-metal etc. Some them isomers. reviewed data provides reader a solid foundation for selecting adequate instrumentation in related future studies. Data structure, energetics reactivity summarized well. Circa 150 examples ion/molecule reactions participation metal-containing ions phenol thiophenol derivatives examined. Additionally, review addresses 3D structural features several model between phenol- thiophenol-related determined from theoretical calculations IRMPD spectroscopic measurements, well use elucidation nature cation–π interaction σ-binding, which mimic active centers biomolecular systems. Keywords: metal–phenolate derivatives; mixed-ligand complexes; mass spectrometry; gas-phase chemistry; ionization methods; ion/molecule reactions; metal interaction; isomer differentiation; IRMPD spectroscopy; neutralization–reionization spectra
