摘要: Pregnane X receptor (PXR; NR1I2), a member of the nuclear superfamily, has major role in induction genes involved drug transport and metabolism. Recent studies mice have provided insight into novel function for PXR inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The mechanism protective effect activation on IBD is not fully established, but due part to attenuation factor (NF)-κB signaling that results lower expression proinflammatory cytokines. clinical trials with antibiotic rifaximin, agonist gastrointestinal system, revealed its potential therapeutic value treatment intestinal inflammation humans. Thus, may be target therapy.
