摘要: The increasing use of mobile phone technology over the last decade raises concerns about impact high frequency electromagnetic fields (EMF) on health. More recently, a link between EMF, iron overload in brain and neurodegenerative disorders including Parkinson's Alzheimer's diseases has been suggested. Co-exposure to EMF may have greater tissues cognitive processes than each treatment by itself. To examine this hypothesis, Long-Evans rats submitted 900 MHz exposure or combined treatments were tested various spatial learning tasks (navigation task Morris water maze, working memory radial-arm object exploration involving non processing). Biogenic monoamines metabolites (dopamine, serotonin) oxidative stress measured. Rats exposed impaired but not navigation tasks. They also showed alterations monoamine content several areas mainly hippocampus. that received did show behavioral neurochemical deficits EMF-exposed rats. None two produced global stress. These results there is an revealed only exploiting spontaneous exploratory activity. In contrast, are no synergistic effects brain.
