摘要: Publisher Summary The skin represents the first line of host defense against many pathogens and has a sophisticated structure to achieve this purpose. Immune cells trafficking through area sample epidermal space detect invading microorganisms that might penetrate specialized physical barrier on surface. When danger is perceived, these become activated carry signal draining lymph node orchestrate systemic immune response. Application vaccine antigens adjuvants skin, also known as transcutaneous immunization (TCI), can mimic events stimulate protective responses organisms they represent. This chapter discusses nature anatomical some mechanisms for activation augmentation response applied skin.
