摘要: 1. Anantiserum which specifically protects mice against a virulent culture (M variant) of the hemolytic streptococcus contains specific opsonin. Phagocytosis organisms can be observed in peritoneum protected mouse. 2. An antiserum prepared by injecting an animal with living M variant opsonizes both F and strain. 3. Evidence is presented indicates probable identity opsonin anti-M precipitin Lancefield (7). Agglutination appears to dependent upon different antibody. 4. It possible type streptococci means opsonins, opsonic method has certain advantages over agglutination, precipitation, mouse protection tests. evident from what little been done that there are many types. 5. The serum infants no for streptococci, but adults may contain opsonins strains. Inasmuch as were demonstrable two polyvalent antibacterial sera examined, possibilities therapeutic transfusion discussed.
