摘要: One of the factors affecting development cassava plant is inadequate control weeds. Thus, this work aimed to evaluate under weed interference during different coexistence periods. Two experiments were installed in adjacent areas, Vicosa, Minas Gerais - Brazil. In first experiment, treatments consisted periods between culture and weeds (25, 50, 75, 100 125 days after planting). second plants remained weed-free for same pre-established For both experiments, 1.0 x 0.5 m spacing was adopted, being useful portion area constituted by two central lines, with left at each extremity as front borders, adding 8.0 m2 up. Plant height stem diameter evaluated twelve times planting at: 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 275, 300, 325 350 days. number, root length evaluations carried out 12 months planting. Coexistence equal or superior 50 day interval caused drastic reduction plants. Weed crop should be initiated around 25
