摘要: Porous carbons that are three-dimensionally periodic on the scale of optical wavelengths were made by a synthesis route resembling geological formation natural opal. silica opal crystals sintered to form an intersphere interface through which was removed after infiltration with carbon or precursor. The resulting porous had different structures depending conditions. Both diamond and glassy inverse opals resulted from volume filling. Graphite opals, comprising 40-angstrom-thick layers graphite sheets tiled spherical surfaces, produced surface templating. provide examples both dielectric metallic photonic crystals. They strongly diffract light may toward band-gap materials.
