Neural plasticity and addiction: PI3-kinase and cocaine behavioral sensitization.

摘要: Drug addiction has been linked to protracted functional changes in neural circuits involved motivation that can lead drug dependence, craving and relapse1. Here we investigated the role of phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase (PI3K) signal transduction pathway long-lasting behavioral sensitization cocaine rats, an animal model induced by repeated use2. Our results show PI3K is required for expression, but not induction, cocaine.
