摘要: This study aimed to explore the antioxidant potential and antiviral activity of endophytic fungi which were isolated from healthy living tissues medicinal plants. Endophytic strains (29 different taxa) 18 Egyptian plants collected Saint Katherine Protectorate, Egypt. The fungal endophytes identified based on morphological characters. All isolates as ascomycetes, except two Zygomycetes (Absidia corymbifera Mucor fuscus). Isolated cultivated potato dextrose media. metabolites extracted by ethyl acetate examined for their biological activities. Among 99 total extracts, only Chaetomium globosum, was Adiantum capillus, showed a promising DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) scavenging (99% at 100 µg/mL). Fifteen extracts prohibited reproduction HSV-2 virus. On other hand, VSV-virus inhibited sixteen extracts. anti-(HSV-2 VSV) extract Pleospora tarda strain; that originally plant Ephedra aphylla, viral inhibitory 40.7% 15.2%, respectively. Two compounds, activates could be attributed, alternariol alternariol-(9)-methyl ether using NMR techniques P. extract. For first time, we report here ability fungus produce ether. results indicate are sources bioactive compounds.
