Anti-arrhythmic effects of prazosin and propranolol during coronary artery occlusion and re-perfusion in dogs and pigs

摘要: Open-chest dogs and pigs anaesthetized with pentobarbitone were used to evaluate the anti-arrhythmic effect of prazosin propranolol during a 30 min period occlusion left anterior descending coronary artery followed by 15 re-perfusion. In dogs, both reduced incidence ventricular premature depolarizations tachycardia period. During 45 re-perfusion, fibrillation was significantly in prazosin-treated propranolol-treated dogs. occlusion, but not prazosin- pigs. Prazosin arterial pressure lowered heart rate pigs, comparison mean animals surviving those re-perfusion showed no significant difference.
