摘要: Fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) has proved to be an excellent diagnostic tool in the initial management of various lesions affecting endocrine organs. Many studies have attested its high sensitivity and specificity diagnosing tumors, especially that thyroid gland. However, as with other tests effectiveness is highly dependent upon expertise operator performing procedure, adequacy specimen, interpretation cytomorphologic features.
