摘要: A range of bacterial source tracking techniques is grouped under what commonly referred to as library-dependent methods (LDM). The require the construction a library known profiles that are used for comparison with environmental isolates determine sources contamination. Development particular study requires consideration many factors including organism or group organisms be used, size library, proportionality, representativeness, and stability. Appropriate performance testing statistical analysis critical confidence in results. Each method has advantages disadvantages, while have been compared, there no consensus on “standard” due complexity field scope goals studies. Current recommendations include use toolbox approach (multiple methods) limiting costs through tiered, targeted design, initially monitoring, followed by tracking.
