摘要: Summary Donors differ in the amount of official development assistance dedicated to poverty reduction. We investigate causes variation over time and donors by employing both a regression approach with aggregate data on bilateral aid two short country studies Germany United Kingdom. find that there is trade-off between total money given, given poor countries. The similar paradox redistribution targeting vs. rich welfare states. Case-study evidence illustrates how countries have managed this tradeoff.
