摘要: Prolonged exposure therapy (PE) is an effective treatment for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Identifying metrics of response can guide delivery. The median dose represents the number sessions at which there a 50% probability clinically meaningful improvement (i.e., 10-point reduction in PTSD checklist). goal current study was to investigate PE. We identified cohort Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans who received psychotherapy Veterans Health Administration between 2001 2017. From this cohort, 10,234 PE (as using natural language processing) had ≥2 symptom measures were included analyses. To determine how covariates affected improvement, we utilized Cox proportional hazards regression, followed by Kaplan-Meier curves dose. four sessions. Although some found be statistically significant predictors (e.g., age, gender, medications, depressive comorbidity), these effects small. Clinicians patients should consider evaluating after preliminary effectiveness
