摘要: This paper describes new target interrogation and terminal ballistic loading response models for partial impacts between tumbling long rod penetrators spaced plate targets. The impact algorithms differentiate full from overlapping overlaying geometries. For a impact, existing penetration are applied to just the portion of that engages determine its immediate post-impact linear angular momentum vectors integrity (shattered, shear fracture, bent, etc.). unengaged portions presumed momentarily retain their pre-impact vectors. velocity differentials engaged used if fractures or deforms. Momentum conservation routines final combined fractured pieces. A plastic wave model is compute associated deformation shape change. Sample predictions compared with numerical simulation results confirm reasonableness underlying assumptions. 2003 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
