摘要: Abstract The purpose of this Chapter is to provide an overview the research tools that are available evaluate response materials subject atomic displacements caused by fast particle irradiation. major focus on metals employed in structural components operating or planned nuclear fission and fusion reactors. Understanding, predicting characterising changes material properties under irradiation requires ability characterise irradiation-induced microstructure at above scale, relate such observed degradation performance sustaining properties. Thus, any discussion necessarily involves microstructural characterization techniques mechanical property techniques. In addition, computational thermodynamics (and related multiscale, multiphysics modeling) can also be considered since they enable study thermodynamically kinetically mediated mechanisms (influenced environment) affect evolution. Hence, chapter contains a brief review thermodynamics.
