摘要: Proper selection and interpretation of imaging studies is essential to provide optimal treatment patients who have lung cancer. The following combines the recommendations American College Chest Physicians [74] authors' current clinical practice guidelines: --All known or suspected cancer should undergo a CT chest upper abdomen. --An FDG-PET study be performed, if available. --Mediastinoscopy performed in all except those peripheral small (<2 cm) tumors no evidence N2 disease on PET imaging. --MRI for superior sulcus define relationship tumor adjacent neurovascular structures. --Patients neurologic signs symptoms brain (CT MRI). --Screening extrathoracic not necessary asymptomatic stage I II disease.
