摘要: In recent years, scientists have special interests in biovaterite found freshwater cultured lackluster pearls south China. Vaterite is an unstable crystalline form of calcium carbonate and rare nature. this work, we first reported that vaterite crystals a similar hiberarchy to nacre with the “brick mortar” structure. The dimension single tablet approximate 8 × 2 0.4 μm3. half-lackluster pearls, aragonite−vaterite interface abrupt, boundary sequential; two different kinds contact modes between aragonite tablets were observed. Furthermore, crystallographic orientation regulation was analyzed for time. results show are arrayed [010] direction perpendicular plane; strong texture relatively weak [101] [102] obtained region from several neighboring micrometer scale. additio...
