Polarized optical gain and polarization-narrowing of heavily oxidized porous silicon.

摘要: We report on a polarization-sensitive optical gain in blue-emitting Si/SiO(2) nanocrystalline system having high degree of emission polarization memory. This can show positive or loss depending the state pump and emitted light. Under conditions, amplified spontaneous increases with pumping fluence. effect has been attributed to an increase stimulated efficiency occurring for linearly polarized component characterized by photon occupation numbers (stimulating flux). finding is independently supported other experimental observations. The occurrence dependent strongly indicates relevance morphological effects light from ultrasmall elongated silicon nanostructures.
