摘要: Abstract The design of many greenhouse gas policies is predicated on controlling emissions by reducing domestic (GHG) emissions. This ignores the importance carbon embodied in international trade flows which could take increased if emission reduction schemes are undertaken include only a subset GHG emitting countries. article estimates amount imports manufactured goods to six largest OECD countries — Canada, France, Germany, Japan, UK and USA order determine whether or not importation rich products problem worth addressing. reveal that significant amount, about 13% total these countries, estimated be imports. concludes suggesting number policy implications can drawn from findings.
