摘要: Abstract High-resolution spectral and spatial data analyses of crater Theophilus revealed the presence hydroxyl-bearing exposures possible magmatic origin on its central peak in association with olivine-, spinel- crystalline plagioclase-bearing lithologies. Hydroxyl-bearing lithologies at are characterized primarily by a prominent absorption feature near 2800 nm, strength which varies from ∼2% to 6% some localized zones within peak. The strong sharp 2800-nm hydroxyl having occurrences is inconsistent surficial origin. We suggest that observed hydration could possibly be associated sub-crustal source was subsequently tapped exposed impact event.
