摘要: Abstract The aims of the present study were to investigate protozoan and metazoan parasite fauna hoki Macruronus magellanicus in Southwest Atlantic Southeast Pacific identify parasites potential value as biological tags for stock identification migrations. In 2007 a total 76 examined from three locations, two off coast Chile one Falkland Islands. Two further samples taken 2009, 32 position between those sampled 42 juvenile Seventeen different taxa recorded, including eight identified species. Seven new host records hoki, at least three, possibly many five, are most promising tag long-lived larvae cestodes Hepatoxylon trichiuri Pseudophyllidea gen. sp. nematode Anisakis Three others – myxosporean Myxidium baueri, Pseudascarophis acanthocephalan Echinorhynchus longiproboscis potentially useful following seasonal migrations estimating proportions fish origin mixed samples.
