Using criminalization and due process to reduce scientific misconduct.

摘要: The issue of how to best minimize scientific misconduct remains a controversial topic among bioethicists, professors, policymakers, and attorneys. This paper suggests that harsher criminal sanctions against misconduct, better protections for whistleblowers, the creation due process standards investigations are urgently needed. Although causes estimates problem remain varied, literature misconduct-fraud, fabrication, plagiarism research-continues damage public health trust in science. Providing stricter statutes is necessary motivate whistleblowers deter wrongdoers, provision basic ensuring fair balanced investigation.
