Method of separating ferritic steel or ductile iron from certain nonferrous metals

摘要: A method is disclosed for treating scrap metal chips and turnings containing a valuable layer of silver, gold, or copper ductile ferritic steel iron to recover the metal. The are treated by carburization quenching embrittle layers then crushed converting small mesh powder which can be screened from larger sized agglomerates insensitive embrittling process.
