摘要: A joint project between the Interdept. Research Center of University Padova (CIRGEO), a research group Istituto Tecnico per la Ricerca Scientifica e Tecnologica (IRST) Trento and Visual Information Technology (VIT) NRC Canada, in Ottawa, has been undertaken, with main aim to create set 3D models an historical building by means photogrammetry laser scanning-based surveying techniques. Beside investigation their geometric accuracy, photorealistic representation suited for interactive navigation manipulation VR environment was further objective thie project. To this aim, room Aquila tower Buonconsiglio castle (Trento, Italy) choosen, as it featured relative simple geometry along artistically historically very precious frescoed walls. In paper description both modeling procedures adopted results comparison test employed techniques are presented.
