摘要: A solid state television-type image display device includes a panel of strain-responsive semiconductor material whose absorption edge in the unstrained condition is at first predetermined wavelength, but response to strain moves second wavelength shorter than first. Transducer means are provided for repetitively scanning with acoustic energy magnitude sufficient cause movement edge, and an intensity modulated source light equal placed registration gray scale information. In another embodiment, three such devices stacked each other order decreasing provide full color production.
